I just got this wine rack in the mail yesterday and I was very pleased with my purchase. I was at first uncertain of purchasing furniture online, but since I was unable to find anything I liked for the price in stores, I gave it a shot.This worked out great. I was able to assemble the entire piece myself in about an hour. If there were two people, you could probably assemble it faster.The wine rack only holds 16 bottles, so I don't know why it says 24 in the description, but I understood this when I bought it, so I wasn't worried. I also have four big wine glasses in the stop storage along with a decanter, all in all, this was a great buy.**Yes, the side panels and back panel are not wood, also the wine holding slats are not wood. The rest of the piece is wood, and it is very sturdy (heavy) -- I do not think that for the price you could get anything better anywhere.

I purchased the cabinet on 8/31/12. When I received it on 9/11 one panel was damaged in shipping. It took another month to receive the replacement part. After receiving the replacement part, the peice received was not finished properly. There's missing wood stain and not shiny like the other side. Not good quality. Disappointed in delivery. Now that I have it together, the top also is missing varnish or wax. One side is differnt than the other.

This wine rack came with a defective side panel. I followed the instructions and faxed a request for a replacement but a week later I have recieved no response or acknowledgement from anyone. It was generally easy to put together, but the quality is generally not that great. There are minor flaws in the stain, the wood grain and the finish. The quality control on this was not very good.

My husband just finished putting the cabinet together and had no problems. I think this is a first for him as he is not very handy and generally has problems with everything. Our only complaint is that the sides and back are not wood, but I think that is of little consequence. I have not filled it yet as I am waiting until the bottle grid can be shimmed. There is a little side to side play that I'd like eliminated. I would have given it a 5 star, but nothing in this world is perfect.

This item is as advertised. Goes together easily and looks fantastic. It fits very nicely in smaller spaces like my dining room. The glass door and great finish make it look much more expensive. The hight is perfect and the top creates additional space for serving wine or food.
